Chapter 152 152 Server Update

"You are right but before that, Lynx shoot his other foot" Alex spoke.

*Ding!! Ding!!*

A notification alerted all of them.

[Server update in 10 minutes]

[Automatic log out in 7 minutes]

"Shit I totally forgot about this, future company was supposed to do an interview about the update, wait what is the time now?" Alex spoke.

"So we have no choice but to log out, what about the NPCs and the girls, and the merchant, what do we do with them?" Gabriel said.

"The game plays on even though the players are offline, but I\'m sure this time would be different, all the players are going to be offline," Max said.

"We should kill the merchant before we log out, that way we\'ll be at peace when we get to the real world" Lynx added.

"Then if we all go offline, we have to come online at the same time, or else some of us would be left behind," Rebecca said.

Lena and Zina were taking the girls to the carriage so they were not part of the conversation but the slave girl on the ground was staring at them and she couldn\'t understand a word they were saying.

"Join the girls in the carriage, we\'ll definitely rescue your sister if we find her in any of the camps," Alex said to the girl.

"Thank you," the girl said as she joined the other girls.

"Rebecca is right, we have to all log in at the same time or some of us would be left behind," Max said.

"I don\'t know if this would work, but what if we all log out in the carriage, that way even if any of us is late, we\'ll appear inside the carriage," Alex said.

"Ohh, that\'s a good idea but we have no way to test if it actually works or not, what if we all come online when the game update is done, that way we\'ll all be back at the same time," Max said.

"That\'s better, we\'ll do that...then do we kill the merchant or what," Alex said.

The merchant was still on the ground crying from the pain he felt, he didn\'t under what they were saying but just now they were deciding if they should kill him or not.

"Let\'s kill just him, I\'m sure that\'ll be the best thing to do," Lynx said.

"I just thought if this, if we all disappear won\'t the girls suspect something, we are all going to vanish into thin air very soon" Max mumbled.

"The game is updating, I\'m sure things would be different, instead go logging out by ourselves we should let the game log us out," Alex said.

"I wonder what the new update would be, last time they were many major updates, I hope we can benefit from the update this time," Gabriel said.

"3 minutes to automatic log out, we should decide if we want to let the merchant live Alex," Max said.

"Fuck it, Lynx waste him," Alex said

"I like how you think" Lynx smiled as he removed his gun from his inventory.

"Wait, you have two guns now right, take it slow," Alex said.

"Okay, second leg" Lynx shouted as he placed the tip of his gun in the merchant\'s leg.

"No, No... please just kill me, please" the merchant begged.

"Do it, time is not on our side" Max said.

"If you tell us about the shadow potion or the people you are afraid of, we\'ll let you go but if you don\'t, after shooting your leg, I\'ll gouge out your eyeballs, that\'ll be more painful," Alex said as he brought out his demon blade.

"Anything at all, anything," Gabriel said.

"His lips are sealed, maybe one bullet would tear them open..." Lynx spoke.

"Wait..." the merchant shouted before Lynx could shoot, "Some of the slave girls are used in magical experiments to perfect the shadow potion"

"Girls!! where? Who? Answer me" Alex shouted.

"There are two bases but I don\'t know where exactly, one in the Silver continent and one in the Gold continent, I\'ve never been to any of them so I don\'t know where," the merchant said.

"What are they trying to achieve with the experiments? Which kingdom is responsible for the experiments?" Alex asked.

"I don\'t know, my job is to pay bandits so they could acquire slaves, I don\'t know anything thing else, I\'ve told you everything I know, please spare me, I have a son" the merchant pleaded.

"You have a son, so you capture girls and make them your slave then you used them as lab rats for magical experiments, right? I\'ll keep my promise, you can go, but run this way, don\'t go close to the horses" Alex said, and the merchant who was shot carried himself up on his second leg and limped away.

"1 minute left," Max said.

"Are you really letting him go, I don\'t think it\'s a very good idea" Rebecca said.

"He\'s far enough," Alex said and Lynx smiled, "Live target practice"

"Far enough!...live target practice...wait you are not going to..."

>BAM!!<

The merchant who was struggling with the pain in his leg heard a loud sound but before he could take a step forward he felt himself falling.

"Headshot..." Lynx mumbled as he placed his flintlock back in his inventory.

"Ouch...that must have hurt a lot" Rebecca muttered as the merchant fell.

"I thought you were actually going to spare him" Max spoke.

"Alex held back, he should have killed him off when he brought out his daggers," Gabriel said.

"Well, we\'ll meet when the game is updated, let\'s stay in the carriage just in case," Alex said and they moved to the carriage.

They were four carriages in total and the slave girl took two of the carriage, though the journey haven\'t started the girls were already prepared, out of the girls four of them were familiar with horse riding so they became the new riders.
